Positions on sexual orientation notwithstanding, sending a memo to students singling out any group is discriminatory. Would your position be the same if it was mixed race couples?
This girl didn't ruin the prom, the school did by cancelling it over something so foolish. I think the ACLU is right to sue to force them to reinstate the prom. Noone should be denied the ability to go to their prom.
This is personal meddling in private business gone amok.

And yes, I have missed your opinions here and your posts.
I think they were both wrong. The school shouldn't have taken the shotgun approach and ruined the event by canceled it for everyone.
Second, the girl shouldn't have made such a big deal out of it and ruined it for everyone, especially by bringing the ACLU into it. She could have done something besides insisting on wearing a tux. She could have worn something else.
They could have reached a compromise somewhere.
Besides that, homsexuality is still wrong. Otherwise, humans would have been designed asexual. ;)
Holly Come Lately here, but why did she tell anyone before hand? Why not just show up dressed in her finest? She could have made the splashy attention grabbing entrance and get escorted out and throw the fit for something that actually happened!!
And on the homo note, if I may, can we thank Mother Nature for finding a way to curb the baby train? She can't kill us off anymore, she's trying to head off the pass at the other end!
