MONTREAL (AFP) - The people of the Arctic filed a landmark human rights complaint against the United States, blaming the world's No. 1 carbon polluter for stoking the global warming that is destroying their habitat.
The Inuit Circumpolar Conference (ICC), representing native people in the vast, sparsely-populated region girdling the Earth's far north, said they had petitioned an inter-American panel to seek relief for Canadian and US Inuit.

But that's neither here nor there. No one has convinced me yet that this so-called 'global warming' wouldn't be happening even if we humans had no part of it. We can't look far enough into the past to determine that mother nature her damn self wouldn't be wiping out and rebuilding the planet even without our help.

You're kidding rihgt? You're not convinced of humans detriental effect on the planet??
I think the lawsuit is stupid, don't get me wrong.... it's not like they can use that money to bribe the ozone layer!
But come on! The reason we have the most environmentalist is becuase we're GUILTY. We're a big industrialized country that puts convenience at the top of our prioirity list. At least ACKNOWLEDGE the problem. To act like our ozone would be torn all to hell with or without our presence is ridiculous.

It's not that I don't believe us humans can detrimentally affect the environment.
What I'm saying is that we don't know that we're the cause of this so-called global warming that environmentalists keep blaming people for. We don't have a million years worth of data to form any patterns or models.
If you really believe we are the sole cause of any environmental damage, rather than nature itself, YOU'RE A NUT!
But, if we humans are responsible, the U.S. isn't the only pony in this here rodeo.
