"Attention: It's Snowing"
You know you live in the desert when an announcement comes over your work's P.A. system informing the entire company that it's snowing.
Yeah, I went and checked it out. 10, maybe 15 flakes and it was done.
Update - 1:30 p.m.: It came back. With a vengeance.

That's kind of neat. Snowing in the desert. I once drove from home (the Sierra Nevadas) back to college (UNM in Albuquerque) through a massive snow storm. I'd never attempt it now, but then it was fun.
It took me 50 minutes to get homes last night. Normal commute time is about 15 minutes.
But I have to hand it to all the people here who are not used to driving in the snow. They were being careful for once.
