Sorta sad. Not only are we losing all the old-school casinos to the new 'mega-resorts', I did a stint as a bus boy there once when I was hard up for a job.

I was kinda sad to see this one on the news. I think that the loss of the old for the new is bound to happen. It just doesn't make life any more fun to lose history.
But I guess there is no such thing as a "landmark" in the way of progress in Vegas.
Well, things comes and goes ... all the time.

True. They times they are a'changin'. But I guess I would rather see them revamp than replace.
Which, they did do with the Nugget a few years back.
So Deb, I don't think anyone would be disappointed to go there. Last time I was in there it was quite nice.
I ended up putting him in New York New York. Looks nifty from here anyway.
He should like it. It's a very nice place right in the middle of everything on the strip.
If he likes sports, they have an awesome ESPN lounge with cocktails, easy chairs and HUUUUUGE screens.
And if he gets brave, he can even ride their rollie coaster.
