Authorities baffled by snowy death of little girl

You don't have to follow the link, here's the scenario:

Dad is taking the 11 year old girl the 12 year old boy to see mom on Christmas day. Dad gets the car stuck in a snowdrift, and lets the kids out to walk the remaining 10 FUCKING MILES IN 27 FUCKING DEGREE TEMPERATURES, IN THE FUCKING SNOW, to mom's house.

Eventually, with the help of his cousin - who must have been with him - he gets the car unstuck, turns around and heads home. BACK TO HIS OWN HOUSE!

The boy, somehow, after walking almost halfway to mom's house, and despite the fact he was delirious from hypothermia - thereby stripping down to his underwear - lives, is treated, and gets released from the hospital.
The girl - who walked almost halfway then turned around and started walking back to where dad was stuck, is found frozen to death, nearly buried in a snowdrift.

So I ask then, what sort of idiot would let their kids out of the car, out of their sight even, to walk 10 miles in the snow and cold? And if you were in fact, stupid enough to do such a moronic thing, who wouldn't care enough to follow the path they had taken to ensure they made it to their destination safely?
On top of that, how stupid is dad's cousin? Not just the one, but TWO supposedly responsible adults failed to ensure the safety of these two children. Unbelievable.

This dumb-ass father turned around and went home. He deserves to be convicted of murder, neglect, abuse, any other charge that can be dreamed up for this monumental act of indifference to the well being of these children.

With any luck, there is a special place in hell for fuckheads like this.

LAS VEGAS -- Two people are dead after a wrong-way driver slammed head-on into an oncoming car on the Las Vegas Beltway.

Officials from the Highway Patrol said a trooper saw the Nissan speed past at more than 80 mph on the wrong side of the road -- but lost sight of the vehicle while he was turning around.

Moments later, the car slammed into a Lincoln near Decatur Boulevard.

A woman driving the Nissan and a man driving the Lincoln were killed.

This is a 3 lane freeway, with a physical barrier between north and south lanes. So obviously, the car didn't wander into incoming traffic. The fucking moron had to actually go 'up' the off-ramp, then drive the wrong way down the freeway.

Turns out, the person the stupid bitch slammed into was a high school teacher who had only moved here a few months ago.

It seems like there's one of these idiots every six months or so. Someone driving the wrong way on a one way highway. And it seems they're always driving like a bat out of hell too. And though you would think that it would turn out to be an obvious DUI, it seems that isn't usually the case. Usually, they find no chemicals or booze on or in the person.

I just don't understand it. You see a bunch of cars coming toward you, wouldn't you think there was something up? I guess we'll never know. We can't ask them. They dumb fucks always seem to end up dead.

On the morning of Aug. 11, 2007, at about 7:17 a.m. Phoenix Police Officer Jonathan L. Stuart, 24, was driving his Pontiac sedan southbound on SR 347, when he lost control of the vehicle. His vehicle crossed the median, near milepost 178, and landed on top of a Jeep SUV going northbound. Mark J. Ream, 51, drove the Jeep. Stuart and Ream were both Maricopa residents.
Both men perished in the collision.

In a report recently released by the Gila River Police Department, it is estimated Stuart was driving in excess of 100 miles per hour. Witness accounts had indicated speeds from 90-100 mph, but calculations from evidence at the scene indicate a speed at collision of 110.74 mph.

The report also states that an officer had stopped Stuart the previous week for speeding.

Officer Stuart, who joined the PPD in November 2003, worked at the Squaw Peak station near 24th Street and Lincoln Drive in northwest Phoenix.

I tried to watch the Monday Night Football game last night and what did I see? Rookies trying to earn a place on the team? No, guess again.
Did I see a spectacular offense or defense and a well played chess match between two great teams? Nope. Not that either.

What I saw were numerous spotlights on black people in #7 jerseys. No other ethnicity, just black.
Then there were the interviews with whoever they could dig up to comment on "what a great loss this is to the Falcons team", how "Vick would have handled the scenario on the field differently" and other useless bullshit totally unrelated to the game. Nothing from the other side of the argument. How what the asshole was mean, cruel, inhumane, and oh - by the way, it is illegal.
No, the sportscasters weren't talking about how grabbing a dog by the legs and slamming it on the ground to bash it's fucking skull or break its back is wrong, they weren't cordially discaussing how hanging a dog from a tree kicking and writhing until it has suffocated is wrong, nor were they jawing about how putting a gun to a dogs head and blowing its gawddamn brains all over the grass and weeds is wrong.
No, all they had to comment on was how the team would perform missing yet another high paid, fucked-up asshole criminal.

I know, it wasn't a regular season game as far as the stats go, but to the newbies on the field trying to do their best and succeed in the NFL, this was the most important game of their career. The asshole sportscasters could have respected that at least.

So try as they might, the media played the "race" card and it didn't help anyone but the sports stores selling jerseys. So what else do we have up our sleeves? Why, the the "Jesus" card of course. Yup, that's right. he's found Jeebus, is sorry, and should be forgiven.
